Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for sharing knowledge and developing others? We’re looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team and help shape the future of technical excellence across our UK and Ireland network.
In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality technical training for Linde, Still and KION, and non-KION products and services. You’ll also contribute to the development of engaging training materials and support the continuous improvement of our training programs.
This is a hands-on, dynamic role that involves regular travel across the UK and occasional overseas trips. You’ll be based at our Basingstoke Training Centre, where you’ll help maintain a professional and well-equipped learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver technical training to engineers and colleagues, ensuring consistency and quality.
2. Design and update training programs based on business needs and delegate feedback.
3. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Basingstoke Training Centre, including tools, vehicles, and equipment.
4. Develop new training materials using your technical expertise and creativity.
5. Record and maintain accurate training records and documentation.
6. Support technical teams with 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring.
7. Deliver training across the UK network and support overseas initiatives when required.
8. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
9. Collaborate with UK and international teams to develop training content.
10. Support apprentice programs and “Train the Trainer” initiatives.
11. Maintain health and safety standards across all training activities.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
12. Engineering background – ideally in forklift maintenance and repair, but we also welcome candidates from the automotive or truck sectors.
13. Training experience – Whether you've delivered formal training sessions or mentored colleagues informally, we value your ability to share technical knowledge effectively. As part of this role, you'll have the opportunity to earn a prestigious manufacturer-accredited qualification from KION, along with a UK recognised certification in Learning and Development, enhancing your professional credentials and career progression.
