A major commercial vehicle manufacturer is looking for a driven depot manager to manage a fast paced and demanding commercial vehicle depot which includes a technicians] workshop, service, admin, finance and parts departments. The position is for a Depot Manager, responsible for developing and maintaining the aftersales service provided to the customer in the depot. The depot is successful, but is fast paced and full on. Looking for someone who can handle the pressure and also drive forward profitability.
Essential Duties and Job ResponsibilitiesMaximise the profitability of both parts and service departments, including continual improvements in utilisation of staff and efficiency of organisationBudgetingMaintain compliance in all areas of Health and Safety in the workplaceSelection and recruitment of staff in all departments (In conjunction with GM)Contribute to the development of all operating and administrative systems to ensure that quality, efficient and timely work is carried outRemain up to date with all relevant legal requirementsAchieve and strive to exceed customer service level expectations and agreementsIdentify and implement a training plan for all depot staffEnsure premises are maintained to a high standard, inline with Operating standardsEnsure premises security measures are adequate at all timesActively seek new business in conjunction with GM / GSMEnsure all invoice related queries are dealt with in a timely mannerMonitor Warranty / Contract ledgerOther general duties as designated by the General Manager
