Partner Financial is collaborating with a fast-growing, market-leading property management group headquartered in London. The company is entering a significant phase of expansion, driven by sustained growth across its residential and mixed-use portfolio and a continued focus on strengthening operational excellence. The successful candidate will join the finance function as a Financial Controller, working closely with the CFO to deliver high-quality financial reporting, ensure strong financial controls, and elevate the accuracy, insight, and efficiency of financial operations across the business. They will take full ownership of the day-to-day finance activities, ensuring results are delivered on time and in line with regulatory standards. This role demands a proactive, detail-driven individual who can identify issues early, implement improvements, and contribute to the development of a best-in-class finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the monthly close process, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial results
* Overseeing balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, controls, and key account reviews
* Preparing statutory accounts under FRS/UK GAAP and managing the end-to-end audit process
* Leading the annual audit cycle, coordinating deliverables, addressing auditor queries, and ensuring timely sign-off
* Overseeing cashflow reporting, forecasting, and liquidity management to support operational decision-making
* Ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations, including Companies House and HMRC submissions
* Reviewing, maintaining, and improving accounting policies and internal controls to ensure consistent application
* Driving continuous improvement across reporting and the month-end timetable
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities alongside the CFO and wider team
The Candidate:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
* Experience in financial control, ideally within property, real estate, or similarly complex operational sectors
* Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both detailed and strategic levels
* Solid technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audits
* Confident with finance systems and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence at all levels
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
