Job Description Retail Sales Manager – Van Sales Location: Bristol Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (No weekends!) Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager, this role is pivotal in leading, developing, and motivating the sales team to achieve outstanding results. You’ll be responsible for recruiting top sales talent, coaching them to success, and ensuring the highest standards of customer experience. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, and develop high-performing van sales staff. Lead and coach the team to achieve sales targets and deliver an excellent customer journey. Monitor performance, set clear KPIs, and provide constructive feedback. Oversee customer communications to ensure professionalism and compliance. Implement strategies to drive sales growth, finance penetration, and downstream revenues. Work closely with other departments to align sales activity with wider business objectives. Prepare and present regular reports on sales team performance. Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met. Skills & Experience Required Proven track record in sales management, ideally in automotive, van, or commercial vehicle sales. Strong experience recruiting, coaching, and developing sales teams. Commercially focused with excellent people management skills. Confident communicator with strong organisational ability. Comfortable analysing performance data and presenting findings. IT literate, with experience in CRM systems and MS Office. Knowledge of FCA compliance is desirable. Personal Attributes Proactive and results-driven.
