Job Description
Sharp Consultancy is working with a growing manufacturer in the Thorne area to appoint a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
This role is autonomous and reports directly to the board, producing and presenting business insights and management information that will influence business performance and future growth. You will report into an experienced Finance Leader and oversee a handful of direct reports. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA with a strong management accounting background and the skills to business‑partner with operational staff at varying levels of seniority.
Offer
* Salary between £55,000 – £60,000
* 1-day WFH
* 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
* Christmas shutdown
Duties and Responsibilities
* Full production of the Management Accounts pack, including balance sheet reconciliations, KPI analysis, and commentary.
* Act as a strategic business partner with department heads and production teams.
* Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Own cash management including cash flow, forecasting, and banking processes.
* Maintain the fixed asset register, including the posting of depreciation.
* Review the continuous improvement of financial processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness of information delivery.
* Monitor and analyze external trends to inform board-level decision-making.
* Support the development of the finance team – overseeing workload, objective setting, and annual appraisals.
Requirements
Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA with a strong management accounting background.
Proven ability to business‑partner with operational staff.
Eligibility
