About the role
Havering is recruiting Advanced Practitioners to deliver effective children’s social care services within a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people. Responsibilities include managing caseloads of varying complexity, using specialist knowledge for assessments, care planning, and child protection investigations.
If successful, you will/will be:
* Manage and supervise a small team of qualified and non-social work staff.
* Handle complex and challenging cases.
* Support the team manager in maintaining high professional standards.
* Apply specialist knowledge of social work practice with children and families to develop service provision and strategic initiatives.
* Develop skills and knowledge in practice issues, providing consultation, coaching, mentoring, and high-quality case management.
* Support team development and recruitment processes.
