Hi-Rise is looking for a full-time Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team. We’re a classic, community-rooted bakery and café known for our French-American style pastries, baked goods, and commitment to craft.
We’re looking for someone who loves the structure and rhythm of a bakery kitchen, takes pride in consistent quality, and enjoys mentoring others in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead and support a small pastry team in daily production.
2. Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation across all pastry items.
3. Oversee prep lists, production schedules, and ingredient ordering.
4. Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate daily operations.
5. Contribute ideas for seasonal menu updates and special items.
6. Ensure proper technique, cleanliness, and organization in the pastry kitchen.
What We’re Looking For
7. Professional pastry or baking experience, with a solid understanding of classic techniques.
8. Previous management or leadership experience (formal or informal).
9. Strong communication and organizational skills.
10. A calm, dependable presence in a busy kitchen environment.
11. Passion for handcrafted, high-quality pastry rooted in tradition.

12. Full-time, 5 days per week (exact schedule to be determined).
13. Reports to: Ownership team, in collaboration with other kitchen and café managers.
