My client based in East London is looking for a 1st-2nd line IT Support Engineer for an initial 6-week contract, fully on-site, 5 days a week, paying £20-23PH inside IR35.
You will be working in a busy team, providing specialist IT support on a 1st line, 2nd line, and face-to-face basis when required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of the organisation's network by completing support tickets on PCs, Thin clients, Whiteboards/Smartboards, Printers, Apple Macs, IP telephones, and physical infrastructure.
2. Logging incident tickets, managing incidents to completion, keeping users informed, and escalating tickets when necessary.
3. Supporting printing and copying devices, including toner and consumable changes.
4. Supporting and administering Office 365 for staff and students.
5. Supporting college telephony systems, including wired IP Phones, Wi-Fi, and smartphones.
6. Assisting staff and students with Wi-Fi network issues.
7. Ensuring network patching is completed neatly, following best practices.
8. Investigating and troubleshooting PC or Mac hardware and software issues, using logging tools.
9. Assisting with software deployment and management on PCs and Macs using SCCM or Jamf Pro.
10. Providing cover for the IT Service Desk and other Systems Engineers when necessary.
