To provide nursing expertise, facilitate evidence-based patient care.
To support the Trust strategy of delivering a quality healthcare service for
patients and their families.
To work within and to support the Trust objectives and the ward department
philosophy and standards.
To supervise and direct junior staff, to act as a resource to provide education
and training and this may include members’ of the multi-disciplinary team. You may
be required to take charge of the ward area in the absence of Ward Manager/deputies.

Personal Attributes
Essential criteria
1. Ability to work independently and as part of the whole directorate
2. Good organisation skills and the ability to plan and prioritise own workload in an unpredictable environment
Qualifications
Essential criteria
3. NMC Registered Nurse
4. Educated to degree level or relevant experience/qualifications
Desirable criteria
5. Post graduate studies or a desire/willingness to attend
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Minimum of 12 months at pay band 5 within the relevant speciality
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
7. Computer literacy with a wide range of software’s. Databases and spread sheets.
8. Intravenous drug administration
Knowledge
Essential criteria
9. Current working knowledge of the NHS
