Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience which means we now have an opportunity for an Engineer to join the team. We are hiring for an experienced, multi-skilled Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team based at CFC Dordon. Undertaking of day to day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities and improvement works at the CFC. Working closely with Inbound, Outbound and other support teams to optimise availability and performance of the facility, and its MHE automation. The role is shift based to support the 24/7 operation of the CFC. In your role as Engineer you will carry out reactive maintenance across the site and diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs where possible. You will work the Panama shift pattern to support continuous operations, benefiting from a competitive salary and benefits. You will: - Work closely with other departments finding ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment. - Lead the Diagnosis on equipment breakdowns and action repairs where possible. - Supervise external contractors when in their relevant section. - Work closely with the team to assist in developing skills and transferring knowledge across the engineering team. - Analyse data and find solutions to improve MHE performance. - Reporting and monitoring of data for automation and maintenance activities. - Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work. - Ability to carry out and lead physical Engineering maintenance activities at the CFC. About you: - Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software, this may include, but is not limited to: HNC Engineering, ONC or equivalent/ Relevant Degree coupled with relevant applied learning/ Engineering Technician Apprenticeship - Electrical and/or mechanical skills preferably gained in an FMCG background to at least NVQ 3 - Sound analytical skills, good problem solver. - Good communication skills both verbal and written and good interpersonal skills, able to analyse and impart knowledge. - Good organisational ability, able to prioritise. - Knowledge of Control Systems is desirable.
