The UK Engineering team works as an integrated partner of the Worldwide Vanderlande Engineering team, consisting of over 1000 engineers from all automated handling disciplines. In the challenging and fast‑paced position of Project Leader Engineering, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth and continued success of Vanderlande.
* Manage the planning of engineering projects as a stakeholder manager, creating and owning the engineering project plan.
* Provide technical leadership of internal and external teams to ensure successful project execution.
* Control the budget of engineering projects proactively by identifying risks and opportunities, evaluating engineering scope and modifications, and providing ongoing reporting.
* Manage the technical solution, including responsibility for the delivery of (sub)systems with the right quality by acting as a technical business partner to customers and other external parties.
* Execute health and safety analysis and ensure implementation in the design.

* Relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering.
* Appropriate years of experience managing complex engineering projects of demanding customers in a dynamic and system‑critical environment, including technical lead of multidisciplinary teams.
* Qualified project‑management knowledge combined with proficient expertise within engineering projects, ideally within material handling systems (Electrical/Mechanical/LLC/HLC/Safety).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with proficient usage of MS Office.
