In this role, you will train and complete the necessary qualifications to register and work as a pharmacy technician.
This Advanced Apprentice post is designed to give the trainee the technical experience and knowledge to register and work as a Pharmacy Technician upon successful completion of the two-year training program and final assessment.
You must possess 5 G.C.S.Es or equivalent at grade 4 (C) or above, including English (language), Maths, and two science subjects (dual award sciences acceptable). You also need to meet the entry requirements for the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework. Achieving the qualification requires participation in and completion of a rigorous training and competency program (level 3 apprenticeship standard/pharmacy technician integrated) covering pharmacy areas such as dispensaries, wards, production units, and pharmacy stores.
During the rotation, you will develop skills to accurately assemble medicines for prescriptions and provide medicines management for patients on wards, contributing to a safe and effective pharmacy service.
