Job Summary
12-month fixed-term contract. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Pets 1st in Egham, Surrey.
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, proactive, adaptable and will thrive in a busy hospital environment. This role is ideal for a clinician ready to take on more responsibility, support junior members of the team, and continue developing their own skills in a well‑established practice.
We have a longstanding team with a wealth of knowledge. The practice is staffed by 4 vets supported by 6 RVN's, 2 SVN's, a clinical coach and a full reception team. Our nurses are highly experienced with multiple certificates between them; they are a huge support to the veterinary team. You will have clinical freedom with a varied caseload, and opportunities to specialise – whether that’s studying for a certificate, offering specialist services, or advancing your surgical expertise.
Our vets work a 4‑day working week. Saturdays (8am-2pm) are equally shared. This equates to a 40‑hour working week. There is no on‑call, bank holidays or Sundays.
