The School and Role
ABC Teachers is looking to recruit a dedicated and engaging History Supply Teacher for a full-time, long-term role at a successful secondary school in Hall Green, starting in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Humanities teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering outstanding History lessons and making a real impact in the classroom. Situated in the vibrant community of Hall Green, this inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school is committed to delivering high academic standards alongside strong pastoral care. With a diverse student body and a supportive staff culture, the school has been praised for its broad and balanced curriculum, particularly in the Humanities department.
Responsibilities
* Full-time, long-term position beginning September 2025
* Teaching History to KS3 and KS4 students
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire
* Engaging pupils in a well-resourced and collaborative Humanities faculty
Requirements
The successful History Teacher will have;
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in History or Humanities
* Recent experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
* Strong classroom management and a proactive teaching style
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the development of all pupils
* Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
* All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
