Brook Street are delighted to be recruiting for a Registered Manager for an established Children's Residential Home in Blaenau Gwent, committed to providing a nurturing environment for their residents. As manager you will be responsible for the daily running of the four-bed home and be able to motivate and inspire your team in good practice who in turn will nurture and create pathways for children to grow into happy confident competent young people. We are looking for an exceptional individual with previous management experience within a similar children's care home setting to join an existing staff team as a registered manager. You must clearly demonstrate a proven track record of quality care and you must be highly efficient with good organisation and people skills. Role and Responsibilities: Work closely with our Registered Individual (R.I.) and Director, and build strong relationships with our customers, care managers, and others involved. Support each child's rights and make sure their needs and wishes are at the centre of their care. Make sure all staff have the right skills and experience and are well-matched to the children they support. Keep accurate records and reports as required by law, and make sure the service runs smoothly. Meet all the standards and requirements set by CIW and RISCA regulations. Complete assessments, support plans, and risk assessments for the children in our care. Provide high-quality support services to the children we work with. Always maintain high standards and follow best practices. Make sure all staff understand and follow company policies and procedures. Support, guide, and manage staff to help them grow and perform well. Monitor and review records regularly to ensure they are effective. Provide leadership and hold regular supervisions and appraisals with your team. Offer training and mentoring to support staff development and ongoing improvement. Handle conflicts with individuals or teams in a professional and effective way. Manage staff absences according to our company policies. Work with HR and Admin to recruit and hire staff according to the job roles. Prepare and send reports and records to regulators when needed. Oversee the rota team to make sure staff schedules are organised on time. Hold regular team and management meetings. Take part in the on-call system and provide communication and support when needed.
