SEN HLTA – Halifax (HX)
£100–£120 per day

We are seeking an experienced and confident SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming specialist school in Halifax (HX area). The setting supports pupils aged 7–16 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
Role Overview:
* Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions across core subjects.
* Provide cover supervision and classroom support in the absence of the teacher.
* Assist with planning and adapting lessons to meet a variety of learning needs.
* Support behaviour management and pastoral development of pupils.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure pupils reach their potential.
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
* Previous experience in a SEN or specialist setting.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Full-time availability and a proactive, nurturing approach.
