Following continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Portugal. You will be at the forefront of delivering large-scale, high-tech infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
The Role
As the Electrical Project Manager, you will hold full accountability for the electrical scope of the project. Your primary objective is to ensure that all activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while upholding the highest quality standards.
This is a leadership-heavy role requiring seamless coordination between internal teams, specialist sub-contractors, and the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee and coordinate all electrical installation activities, driving productivity through meticulous daily and weekly work planning.
Technical Oversight: Manage electrical design and technical activities, liaising with design teams and sub-contractors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery.
Financial & Resource Management: Monitor labour, materials, and resource allocation. You will track critical milestones and manage budgets to prevent schedule slippage.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Safety & Quality Assurance: Lead by example in promoting a "Safety First" culture. You will ensure all Health, Safety, and Quality (QA) procedures are implemented, monitored, and strictly adhered to.
Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including Engineers, Package Managers, Supervisors, and Foremen.
Reporting & Governance: Prepare and present comprehensive weekly project reports, including:
Health & Safety (incident/accident) logs.
Detailed schedule updates (Planned vs. Actual) and 12-week lookahead programmes.
Procurement forecasts for long-lead items.
Weekly variation logs (in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor).
Meeting Coordination: Lead weekly coordination meetings with Foremen, Safety Advisors, QA Engineers, and BIM teams, ensuring all actions are recorded and closed out promptly.
About You
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of delivering complex electrical contracts.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience managing large-scale electrical projects (e.g., Data Centres, commercial offices, hospitals, or major retail developments).
Sector Expertise: Previous experience within Data Centre construction is highly desirable.
Qualifications: A trade background or a degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Leadership: Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse teams in a high-pressure environment.
Commercial Acumen: A solid understanding of project schedules, budgets, and resource management within a contracting environment.
