Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and promoting a positive living environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
* Assist residents with living independently in their own home.
* Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities to enhance their independence.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve care practices.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of all residents while fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere within the care home.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.40-£21.60 per hour
