Introduction
As a Senior Care Worker on night shift, you will play a key role in supporting older people in our care home, ensuring high standards of care, safety and comfort throughout the night. This is a hands on leadership role where you will provide direct care, oversee night routines and support colleagues to deliver consistent, person‑centred support.
What Your Day Will Look Like
* Leading the night shift, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and dignity of residents at all times.
* Supporting residents with personal and intimate care, comfort and overnight routines.
* Administering and overseeing medication in line with care plans and procedures.
* Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding appropriately to any changes or concerns.
* Providing guidance and support to Care Workers on shift.
* Completing accurate records, reports and handovers for the day team.
* Maintaining a calm, safe and well‑organised environment throughout the night.
* Working on a rota that includes weekends.
Qualifications and Requirements
* SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and experience working in a care home setting.
* Confident working at night, able to make decisions, and comfortable supporting colleagues while delivering high quality care.
* Strong communication skills and basic IT skills essential for record keeping and reporting.
* Member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or willing to maintain both.
* Christian faith and ability to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos (occupational requirement).
* Valid UK work entitlement confirmed by UK Visas and Immigration.
