Are you an experienced and motivated pharmacist looking for a leadership role at the forefront of pharmacy services? A&B HSCP has an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our dynamic team during a time of considerable change and opportunity for the profession.
About the Role
You will lead, develop, and deliver high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care across a range of clinical areas including surgical, medical, HDU, and ideally Oncology & Haematology. You will manage a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy support staff. This role offers the chance to work closely within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to improvement projects around cost-effective and safe medicines. You will provide expert clinical and strategic advice at patient, Hospital, locality, HSCP, and national levels to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines.
What Were Looking For
1. An undergraduate Masters Degree or equivalent in Pharmacy and registration as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
2. Postgraduate degree to Masters level or Doctorate level in a recognised area of pharmacy practice or equivalent.
3. Wide-ranging experience in one or more branches of pharmacy, including extensive clinical pharmacy experience, and wider experience of hospital pharmacy practice.
4. Significant post qualification experience within a recognised area of pharmacy practice within the managed service.
5. Significant experience as an independent prescriber
6. Significant experience managing a team.
7. Evidence of developing and conducting research and audit
8. Evidence of successful change management
9. Evidence of delivering staff development, education & training
10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
11. A corporate approach to working and a good team worker.
12. Car owner and full driving licence

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
13. Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
