We are seeking a dedicated Appointments Manager to lead our Registration Service team, ensuring the delivery of statutory and non‑statutory appointments across the East Riding. This includes Birth and Death Registration appointments, and Notice of marriage and Civil Partnership appointments, and some none statutory appointment types. This is a key role within the service, combining operational leadership, staff management, specialist expertise, and partnership working with internal and external agencies. This means travelling to all our Registration Offices across the East Riding, so no day will be the same.

About the Role
1. Lead and manage a team delivering a full range of registration services, ensuring high-quality, consistent and compliant service delivery.
2. Oversee statutory registrations including births, stillbirths, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships.
3. Act as a specialist advisor to colleagues, stakeholders and the public on complex registration matters.
4. Manage performance, support service planning, and drive improvements in customer experience and efficiency.
5. Maintain oversight of all registers, stock, certificate production, fee processing and financial reconciliation.
6. Work closely with partner organisations such as police, coroners, hospitals, medical examiner services and immigration services.
7. Provide training, ensure quality assurance, and deputise for the Strategic Registrations Manager.
