NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a PMO Lead to join our Supply Chain Modernisation Programme during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

Every day you will …
* Establish and maintain PMO frameworks aligned with NHS SC and programme governance requirements.
* Ensure compliance with programme standards, reporting protocols, and quality assurance.
* Monitor progress, risks, and issues across all projects within the programme; provide consolidated reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Manage interdependencies and elevate critical risks to programme leadership.
* Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning across projects within the programme.
* Act as a key liaison between programme leadership and project managers.
* Drive improvements in programme delivery processes, tools, and templates.
* Embed lessons learned and best practices across the programme.
* Lead and mentor PMO managers.
* Provide training and guidance to project managers on PMO standards

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
* Proven experience in PMO leadership within large-scale programmes.
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
* Excellent understanding of PMO processes, e.g. P3O or equivalent standard
* Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
