Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with an established Wealth Manager to recruit a Training and Competency Manager. This role involves supporting the HR team by managing the training and competency department.
Responsibilities include:
* Implementing and overseeing an effective Training & Competency scheme
* Providing training support to ensure employees meet role requirements
* Ensuring investment managers hold appropriate qualifications
* Managing CPD records and liaising with training bodies
* Arranging in-house and external training, CPD events, and courses
* Collaborating with HR, Compliance, and other units to maintain accurate records
* Conducting competency assessments and regulatory checks
* Supporting appraisals, inductions, and training programs
* Managing online training programs and providing management information
* Training department coverage and ad hoc projects
* Administering annual appraisals for SMCR compliance
* Reviewing mandatory and non-mandatory training compliance
* Recruiting and hiring qualified candidates
* Fostering a coaching culture and designing learning solutions
* Talent management and workforce development
* Staying updated on regulatory changes and maintaining HR systems
* Organizing FCA-compliant training and facilitating face-to-face sessions
Required skills and experience:
* Ability to manage relationships and influence change
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Proactive work ethic with ability to meet deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations (TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, FIT)
* Experience in a similar role
