Dorrington House requires a dedicated and conscientious Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team on a full-time or part time basis. We're seeking a caring and compassionate individual who will be able stimulate residents physically, mentally, socially and emotionally through a high quality schedule of varied activities, outings and events. Candidates must be enthusiastic, warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our residents with high quality care and support.
Principal Responsibilities
* To assist in planning, delivering and evaluating activities for all residents to participate in.
* To create, coordinate and implement activities and events for the community.
* To plan and allocate one to one time to provide person centered activities with individual residents.
* To assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings.
* To scheduled vendors and entertainment.
* To keep all activity areas tidy and in good order. Maintain a stock of materials and to replace as and when required.
* To record activities carried out in residents notes.
About you:
We are looking for an individual with previous working experience in organising activities, events and outings, ideally with the elderly, but other backgrounds will be considered.

Usual working hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 – 15:00 with every other weekend in, some flexibility outside these days/hours is expected on special occasions/events.
