Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Shropshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Shropshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, trauma-informed manner, to enhance engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other educational needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Planning engaging, needs-based sessions
* Providing holistic support to meet individual needs
* Completing reports and tracking progress
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK
Employment Details
* Engagement as a Worker, via contract for service, paid through PAYE
* No set hours or expenses coverage, insurance provided
* Not a self-employed position
