Overview
If youre passionate about digital products, adding value, solving problems, meeting user needs, and continuous improvement, this is a great opportunity to join a progressive team where you can make a real difference. The NHSBT Donor Experience Product Centre builds, supports, and develops digital channels and products that enhance the donation experience. By embracing agile ways of working, modern technology, and automation, we deliver regular, iterative improvements that add real value to users and support NHSBT's mission and strategic goals. As Delivery Manager, you'll facilitate these changes coordinating scoping, planning, prioritisation, discovery, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Working with stakeholders, you'll apply agile principles to identify and define priorities, translating complex user needs into tangible digital outcomes. You'll actively promote a culture of continuous improvement within and beyond the Product Centre, helping multidisciplinary teams perform at their best. This role is as much about people as process: youll bring experience in agile or GDS delivery, strong leadership, and the ability to motivate teams. Youll also be skilled in stakeholder engagement and expectation management, with an analytical, organised mindset and the ability to think both strategically and tactically.
Responsibilities
* Translating complex user needs into tangible digital deliverables, in clear understood formats.
* Breaking down barriers for the development team, and planning at both a strategic and tactical level, overseeing the delivery of all tasks.
* Ensuring processes and policies are effective and followed, and contributing to ongoing improvements in ways of working.
* Playing a key role in delivery decision making and understanding, exploring and mitigating any risks associated.
* Motivating the development team to progress work and maintain a high standard.
* Acting as Scrum Master during daily sprint calls and the conduit between the delivery team, stakeholders and other NHSBT managers to align dates and identify dependencies.
* Reporting on measures of success to demonstrate success of delivery and implementation.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
It takes all types of people to deliver the kind of service that saves and improves lives. At NHS Blood and Transplant, youll join a team of more than 6,000 people who are making a genuine difference to communities, families, friends, relatives and more across the UK. We play a unique and special role in the NHS by helping people do something extraordinary- donate blood, blood products, organs, tissues, or stem cells to save someone in need.
