As a Planning Manager, you will be relied upon to establish and maintain realistic schedules, identify critical issues, and propose effective solutions that align with the wider TRU programme, support the achievement of key deliverables, and help guide the project to a successful outcome.
A day in the life of a Planning Manager
Collaborate across disciplines & sub-contractors to develop and revise the delivery programme, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of intended delivery strategy, dependencies, risks, change and progress.
Establish & maintain periodic progress reporting, contribute insights, identify issues, risks and propose actionable solutions
Ensure key stakeholders across disciplines and organisation are appropriately informed.
Contribute to the risk register and schedule risk analysis.
Formal identification, impact assessment and notification of programme change
Work closely with other planners/sections to identify and plan critical dependencies.
Lead collaborative planning and interface workshops.
Promote the Planning function and work collaboratively with peers to drive best practice and project performance.
Inspire and empower the wider planning community to deliver high quality standards & outputs
Contribute to coaching, supporting and formal training of others in the project

Extensive experience of Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects with a proven track record of delivering large-scale civil structures, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor
Sound working knowledge of NEC contracts, specific to the programme obligations within Clauses 31 & 32 and the commercial interfaces.
Desirable - full project lifecycle experience, particularly design & build within large-scale rail & structure projects
Computer literate with extensive working knowledge of Primavera P6 planning software.
Based in our TRU delivery office in Leeds with occasional travel to York, Sherburn in Elmet (LS25 6JE) or site in Shipley, must have a full driving licence
