Field Service Engineer required in the Midlands Area
1. £36,500 basic salary with access to a generous bonus scheme
2. 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with access to overtime.
3. occasional pre-scheduled weekend work.
4. 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day for every 5 years of service.

Our client, a well-established leader in automated storage solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team, covering the Midlands area.
Reporting to the Area Manager, your responsibilities will be to:
6. Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems.
7. Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
8. Support system upgrades, including software updates.
9. Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
10. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
11. Provide technical support and product training to clients.
12. Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly.
13. Manage travel and schedule efficiently.
14. Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems.
15. Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner.
16. Occasional national and international travel (for training purposes)
In order to be successful, you will be based in and around the LE, CV, WV, WS and B postcode regions and have a UK driving license with minimal points. This is a field based role so travel will be required. The company provides a van.
Requirements
17. Strong willingness to learn and a hands-on, proactive approach.
18. Experience or qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or general engineering.
19. Excellent fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
20. Full UK driving licence with minimal points.
21. Flexibility for regional and occasional national travel (including overnight stays)
22. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
23. Professional presentation and a customer-first attitude
24. High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
25. Experience in storage solutions or materials handling (desirable but not essential)
26. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
