We have an opening for 2 Cafe & Soft Play Assistants for our for a family-run soft play and cafe. We are looking for a hard working, friendly and confident individuals who like to work alongside a small team and with children to compliment our team.
One role is for a Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and the other is for a Monday, Friday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday hours are 9 to 3.30 and weekend hours are 9.30 to 5.30. Please confirm your days of availability on your application as additional hours/ cover may be available.
As a Cafe & Soft Play Assistant, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and their families so previous experience of working in a cafe or similar environment with excellent customer service skills is essential. Candidates must be confident in their own ability and be comfortable having conversations with customers as excellent customer service is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who have flexibility with their availability and also to applicants who are barista trained. We are very proud of our food and drink offering, with great tasting coffee central to this, so coffee-making experience is advantageous.
The successful applicant will be part of a small, close-nit team who all work hard for each other. An eye for detail and passion for cleanliness is also extremely important to us.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily operations of the café and soft play area, ensuring a welcoming environment for children and families.
* Provide high-quality customer service, whether this be on the till or while welcoming customers or addressing any issues which may arise.
* Monitoring the soft play to ensure the safety of our customers.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness throughout the soft play and cafe areas.
* Clean the party room and switch themes between parties. This is a vital part of the role.
* Support the kitchen team by taking and running orders.
* Coffee-making.
