We are seeking a Director of MIS to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in driving the College’s strategic direction. This is a critical appointment for a forward-thinking leader who can elevate our data culture, strengthen performance, and ensure robust, future‑proofed information systems that underpin exceptional teaching, learning and organisational effectiveness.
At a time of significant growth and innovation across the College, the Director of MIS will be central to enabling high‑quality decision making, optimising funding, ensuring compliant operations, and delivering first‑class reporting and insight.

The Role
As Director of MIS, you will:
* Provide strategic leadership for all Management Information Systems, including data integrity, reporting, systems integration and digital innovation.
* Lead and develop the MIS, Exams and Business Intelligence teams, fostering a high‑performance culture built on excellence, accuracy and service.
* Serve as the College’s key contact for internal and external audits, including DfE and Combined Authority funding audits, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant submissions.
* Oversee the full examinations function, ensuring high‑quality liaison with awarding bodies and flawless delivery of registrations, assessments, achievement capture and certification.
* Drive the development of data systems that support curriculum planning, funding optimisation, performance monitoring, quality improvement and strategic analysis.
* Ensure high‑quality customer service across the Enrolment Centre, including enquiries, admissions and enrolments.
* Work collaboratively with Principalship and academic leaders to ensure managers have the information, insight and forecasting needed to lead their areas effectively.
* Lead the production of high‑quality reports for the Corporation, Senior Leadership and other stakeholders.
* Champion robust, compliant processes relating to enrolment, transfers, withdrawals, exam registrations and ILR reporting.
* Act as a visible, influential leader who strengthens relationships across the College, builds trust, and ensures MIS is a valued strategic partner.
About You
We are looking for an accomplished and inspiring leader who brings:
Essential Experience & Expertise
* Significant experience leading MIS functions within an education or FE setting.
* Strong knowledge of funding methodologies, ILR requirements, income forecasting and regulatory compliance.
* Proven success delivering data strategy, policy development and performance insights at a senior level.
* Experience managing audits, funding claims and high‑stakes reporting deadlines.
* A track record of managing, motivating and developing high‑performing teams.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to produce succinct, high‑quality management information for senior audiences.
