Governance Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Governance Manager to lead the implementation of a high-profile, long-term infrastructure Masterplan (EMP) for a key Glasgow-based Client.
The Establishment Management Plan sets the strategic direction for estate development and infrastructure investment. It will enable improved utilisation, asset management, and operational efficiency across two key sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* ️ Develop and embed robust governance frameworks across major infrastructure programmes.
* Align infrastructure activities with broader strategic goals and naval base governance.
* Lead the creation and delivery of an Infrastructure Stakeholder Engagement Plan, ensuring collaboration, inclusion, and clarity.
* ️ Build and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map and forward engagement plan (meetings, boards, site visits, workshops).
* Provide regular, strategic updates to senior management on engagement events and outcomes.
* Champion effective communication across the organisation to support strategic alignment and decision-making.
Qualifications
✅ Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Proven experience in programme governance, strategy development, and stakeholder management in complex organisations.
* ️ Strong communication, planning, and facilitation skills.
* Ability to influence across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* ️ Experience working with infrastructure or estate management programmes is desirable.

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national, Hybrid working from home/Assystem Office

This role will be based at the main Client site near Helensburgh with some time spent at their Glasgow office as and when deemed necessary.
Working arrangements – The incumbent of this role must be able to do hybrid working with the ability to attend the site near Helensburgh up to 2 days per week and / or to meet business needs, as requested. There may be a requirement to attend meetings in other locations (e.g. Glasgow) to support business needs.
Security - The incumbent of this role must hold a minimum of SC cleared and be a sole UK national.
This can be a staff or umbrella contract role.
