An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our manufacturing client at their Inverness facility. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of plant equipment. The position operates on a rotating shift pattern, including a mixture of day shifts, back shifts, and night shifts. Key Responsibilities Respond to and repair mechanical breakdowns across the plant Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment Proactively identify and report potential equipment failures Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and services Uphold high standards of engineering practice and housekeeping in all areas Ensure all work is completed in line with permit-to-work procedures Provide support across wider engineering activities as requiredEssential Requirements Minimum City & Guilds / ONC qualification in a mechanical discipline Completion of a full 4-year mechanical apprenticeship Previous experience within an industrial maintenance environment is desirable Strong commitment to health & safety standards Ability to work independently and use initiative in a fast-paced environmentThis is a great opportunity to join a well established manufacturing environment offering varied work, technical challenge, and a supportive engineering team.
