Medical Writer
Location: UK office based/hybrid
About HCG: HCG is part of Omnicom Health Group, a global network connecting over 4,200 healthcare communications specialists across 55+ offices, offering expertise in medical education, creative, promotional, digital, and market strategies.
Role Overview: Medical Writers are responsible for generating high-quality medical copy across multiple accounts and projects, understanding client requirements, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery. They also contribute to improving HCG’s services.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Understanding therapy areas and effective communication across media
* Keeping clients informed about project status and managing multiple projects efficiently
* Supporting project planning, scheduling, and internal reviews
* Developing scientifically accurate and compelling content, ensuring quality control
* Building strong client relationships and collaborating with external experts
* Proactively solving challenges and managing personal development
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Degree in a relevant science or 2+ years medical writing experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Desirable:
* Experience in medical communications agency or industry
* Interest in expanding scientific expertise across therapy areas
* Willingness to travel
