Deputy Ward Manager - Newport Community Wards, RGH
We are seeking a Deputy Ward Manager to join Newport Community Wards, Royal Gwent Hospital.
* Support senior staff with shift‑by‑shift running of the Newport community wards.
* Undertake management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager.
* Demonstrate evidence‑based clinical practice and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
* Act as a mentor with recognised mentoring experience and provide supervision to junior staff.
* Act as a senior member of the multi‑disciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
* Motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
* Evidence‑based clinical practice and a proven history of supervising junior staff.
* Flexible, approachable, compassionate, hardworking and able to manage time effectively.
* Willingness to undertake further academic qualifications.
