Head of Credit & Analytics
Location: UK (Hybrid – multiple office locations)

Our client is building a next-generation consumer credit product designed around simplicity, flexibility, and transparency. Its flexible line-of-credit product enables customers to access credit when they need it and repay in a way that suits their lifestyle, with predictable repayments and no hidden fees.
As the business continues to scale, it is seeking a Head of Credit & Analytics to lead its credit strategy and analytics capability.
The Role
As Head of Credit & Analytics you will own the end-to-end credit strategy and portfolio analytics for the company's flexible line-of-credit product. This senior leadership role will combine strategic oversight with hands-on analytics and decisioning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining credit policy, shaping underwriting and pricing strategies, leveraging data to drive competitive advantage, and ensuring strong portfolio performance and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and manage credit strategy, risk appetite, and credit policy
* Develop data strategy across credit bureau, open banking, and alternative datasets
* Lead underwriting frameworks including eligibility, affordability, and fraud controls
* Own credit limits, risk-based pricing, and ongoing limit management strategies
* Monitor portfolio performance across the credit lifecycle including originations, active book, and collections
* Partner with operations to optimise arrears and collections strategies
* Produce governance reporting and board-level management information
Skills/experience
We are looking for an experienced credit risk professional with a strong background in consumer lending and hands-on experience with revolving credit products such as credit cards or lines of credit.
The successful candidate will bring experience defining and implementing credit strategies at scale, a deep understanding of credit bureau and open banking data, and strong analytical skills including experience with tools such as SQL and Python.
They will also have a strong understanding of UK lending regulation and experience working across multiple customer acquisition channels including direct, partner, and aggregator channels.
