We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Pharmacy education and Training team within University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust. We welcome applications from individuals who have a passion for training our next generation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.

Main duties of the job
This post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of training of staff within the UHSussex Pharmacy Department at St Richard’s and Worthing Hospitals. Specific responsibilities include the organisation of Trainee Pharmacist and the Foundation to Advance Clinical Pharmacist pathway. They will directly report to the Trust Clinical Lead Pharmacist and Consultant Pharmacist for Education and Training, as well as working closely with the Lead and Senior Pharmacy Technicians within the education and training team.

Essential
Essential criteria
1. Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
2. Secondary care experience - Acute Trust preferable
3. Post-graduate qualification relevant to hospital pharmacy practice.
4. Previous experience working within education and training
5. Evidence of commitment to CPD
Desirable criteria
6. Completion of Educational Supervisor course
7. Neurodiversity training
8. Mental Health First Aider or equivalent course
9. Independent Prescribing Qualification
Skills
Essential criteria
10. Ability to retrieve and evaluate complex information
11. Use of electronic prescribing system EPMA (ideally CMM)
12. Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
Desirable criteria
13. Ability to manage large projects and service changes
