Veterinary Care Assistant - Reading We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Tilehurst Vets for Pets practice. Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. In this role, you will support colleagues with a range of non-clinical duties, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering the highest standard of patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future. This is a part-time position, working 28 hours per week (shifts to be discussed at interview stage), with a salary in line with the national minimum wage. About You You are the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice. You are able to confidently guide clients by keeping up to date with practice services and any additional offerings. You remain calm, attentive, and focused on meeting clients' needs. You bring enthusiasm and drive to your role, with a genuine passion for both customer service and animal care. You can handle a variety of situations, from supporting clients through difficult news to celebrating happy milestones such as a new puppy's first visit. Your positive and engaging personality helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere alongside your colleagues.
