Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Technician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and experience in PLC/HMI Controls to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Siemens PLC and HMI systems, with a focus on airside operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical systems while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical machinery.
2. Ensure all equipment is operating to specification, following company procedures and safety protocols.
3. Work with Siemens PLC/HMI systems for system diagnostics, programming, and updates.
4. Carry out fault diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and control systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
5. Adhere to airside safety and security protocols and complete all necessary paperwork.
6. Respond to urgent repair needs, ensuring timely resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
7. Support the continuous improvement of systems and equipment.
8. Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience working with PLC and HMI controls, Siemens systems.
3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
1. Airside vetting to CTC level (Counter Terrorist Check) is required.
2. Must be able to work the shift pattern as per the operational requirements.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience with Siemens PLC programming and HMI systems.
2. Prior experience working in an airport or similar regulated environment.
