You will be first point of contact for patients on arrival to the department, responsible for checking patients in, out and booking follow up appointments. Other tasks include dealing with telephone queries, building ERS referrals from GP Surgeries and appointing, supporting the team and providing cover for other members of staff when on leave or off sick. Utilising the Trust's IT systems and maintaining electronic databases. You will need to prioritise tasks to achieve timescales set and meet departmental KPI's, Working under full supervision at all times, the postholder will support trained staff in providing a confidential administrative activities to meet the needs of the service in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures
* Respond to day to day enquiries referring to appropriate staff as necessary.
* Process allocated workload on a daily basis.
* Liaise with internal departments and on occasion external agencies where required.
