About the role
Maple Youth Services are looking for a Full-time House Manager role in Bella Vista, NSW. As the House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential home and ensuring the provision of high-quality care and support to young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. This is a crucial role that will contribute to the wellbeing and positive outcomes for the young residents in our care.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, including staff rostering, administration, and budgeting
* Monitor and support young residents as well as their care team to progress towards the young residents case plan goals including addressing their social, emotional, educational, and cultural needs
* Lead a team of Therapeutic Care Workers and support them in ongoing professional development
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as caseworkers, social workers, counsellors, and community organisations, to ensure seamless service delivery
* Maintain accurate records and reporting to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and culturally-inclusive environment for the young residents
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture
What we\'re looking for
* Minimum Bachelor in social work, community services, or a related field
* Significant experience (minimum 3 years) in a similar Out of Home Care role
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team and lead the delivery of high-quality care
* Extensive knowledge of child protection legislation, trauma-informed practice, and cultural competence
* Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and stakeholders
* A deep commitment to the wellbeing and empowerment of young people from diverse backgrounds
