GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming school in the Sheffield area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain classroom experience, support learning across subjects, and inspire young people in their education. Role Overview: As a CS, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged in their learning and complete set work. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-prepared lessons and resources across a range of subjects. Supervise and support pupils to stay focused and on task. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement. Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment. Step in flexibly across different year groups when required. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting is desirable. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confidence to supervise classes and engage pupils effectively. A patient, adaptable, and professional approach. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
