About the Role
As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you\'ll work closely with teaching staff to support students with autism across a range of subjects and activities. Your role will be pivotal in helping students access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and build confidence in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with ASD in classroom and small group settings
* Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Support students during transitions and unstructured times
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support

What We're Looking For
* Proven experience working with children or young people with ASD
* Understanding of autism and associated learning needs
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
