Job Title: Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) – Business Partnering & Analysis
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
This role involves providing high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting to finance leadership and operational teams to support business performance and growth. You will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior management, offering strategic financial insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead month-end reporting and analysis for operational leaders, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
* Analyze monthly financial results, highlighting key variances to budget or forecast.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, track, and analyze site financial performance, ensuring accountability for budget targets.
* Ensure financial KPIs are accurately reported, highlighting trends for informed decision-making.
* Communicate performance effectively, challenging budget holders and fostering accountability.
* Manage the month-end query tracker, ensuring prompt responses to site leaders.
* Review and improve reporting processes within FP&A and the wider finance team.
* Work with the Business Intelligence team to automate and distribute financial results and scorecards.
Budget and Forecast:
* Lead the budgeting process for your area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and deadlines.
* Support other finance partners in budgeting across the group.
* Maintain consistent financial models for budgeting and forecasting, including KPIs.
* Assist in implementing system automation for reporting and budgeting.
* Build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams.
* Respond to queries on behalf of the finance team.
* Demonstrate financial business partnering skills by providing timely reports and training.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Participate in annual performance reviews.
* Adhere to OFG policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
* Promote safeguarding and welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
* Undertake other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
* Studying towards or completed a relevant accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA, etc.)
* Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation.
* Ability to influence financial outcomes and work with operational managers.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to present complex data visually for senior stakeholders.
* Management accounting experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
* Experience with Access Dimensions and Power BI is advantageous but not essential.
