Are you passionate about engineering and skilled in pipefitting and welding? Join GSK Montrose as a Pipefitter/Welder and play a key role in maintaining and installing pipework and associated fittings to ensure reliable plant operations that meet manufacturing plans and regulatory standards.
In this role you will
* Work as part of a team to carry out plumbing and pipefitting tasks using various metals and plastics.
* Weld pipelines, fabrications, and machinery to standards.
* Fabricate, test, install, modify, and maintain domestic, engineering, and chemical processing pipework.
* Install Lokring connectors and maintain glass pipework and associated fittings.
* Use access equipment safely and work in various factory areas, often at heights or in confined spaces.
* Record and document maintenance information via CMMS to meet regulatory requirements.
* Assist in developing apprentices by sharing knowledge and demonstrating skills.
* Proactively solve problems and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE) regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

* A formal engineering background in one of the key engineering disciplines.
* Competency in welding, pipefitting, and using lifting equipment.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic clerical skills for requisitioning materials and documentation.
* Ability to work independently, organize workload, and make decisions within your area of work.
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to deliver and receive detailed instructions.
