Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company health & safety policies and procedures
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure conformity to requirements
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
* Provide sufficient information to stakeholders to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA scopes
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
* Review and ensure system stakeholders produce the necessary documentation, including programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
