Resource Planning Analyst

Role Type: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours
Salary: £30,000

The role
Responsible for delivering effective planning support to our large frontline teams. Providing effective planning solutions: capacity planning, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting, aligned to the service line requirements. Co-ordinating and managing schedule changes and supplying MI and reporting against planning outputs to inform operational decisions.
How you’ll help to make health happen
1. Manage effective resource planning processes and practices to deliver appropriate outcomes to meet service requirements - including accurate capacity planning, effective and timely scheduling, forecasting and WFM system management.
2. You will act as a subject matter expert offering advice, suggesting, and implementing solutions while taking the lead to resolve queries.
3. Effectively communicate with the wider planning team, operational teams, and other functions at all levels acting as resource planning subject matter lead.
4. Interpret and communicate any potential risks to service delivery, business objectives or financial targets.
5. Provide recommendations and expertise to help mitigate and resolve risks to achieve KPI’s, business objectives and financial targets.
6. Apply effective processes for all schedule changes, including but not limited to, requests to change working patterns (one offs and perm changes), contracted hours and activity changes.
7. Apply effective processes to manage all leave requests across operational teams, ensuring capacity requirements to meet service delivery needs are available.
8. Own and manage reporting and analytical outputs to Service Delivery and Operational managers, which provide understanding of the expected resource requirements, to enable the sharing of risks and opportunities.
9. Apply effective stakeholder relationships with all colleagues, role modelling collaboration, best practice and knowledge sharing.
10. Coach and educate others within the operational team and the wider planning team, developing their understanding of Planning practices, methods, system(s) and tools.
11. Analyse current processes and practices to recommend improvements where applicable.
12. Analyse and interpret relevant MI and insights to recommend business solutions and/or risk management.

13. Demonstrable evidence of planning and organisational skills
14. Experience of workforce management tools such as IEX and telephony systems
15. Pro-active approach to problem solving.
16. Good communication skills at all levels
17. IT skills in Excel, Word & Access

19. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point.

21. Highly numerate and analytical
