As we expand our footprint, we are looking for a driven and strategic Junior Cloud Account Specialist to assist growth and open new doors in the B2B market.
About the Role
This is a junior account specialist role focused on assisting our customers and sales staff with Microsoft and cloud sales opportunities. Administrating customer license, software and cloud queries and completing orders. Engaging with customers around new opportunities and identifying opportunities with existing customers. This role is key to assisting our cloud growth strategy, targeting mid-market and enterprise clients with Microsoft products and solutions.
This is a junior role where the right candidate demonstrating the drive, organisational skills and attention to detail will receive a comprehensive training plan to progress their skills in Microsoft products, cloud skills and solution selling. This role is an ideal role for someone wanting to start their career in the world of technical sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Administration of Microsoft licensing tasks, including but not limited to renewals, license purchases, billing queries, and portal administration.
* Administration of the Cloud vendor partner centre portals.
* Assisting customers with Microsoft cloud support queries and resolving customer issues.
* Providing guidance on appropriate products to VCG customers around the Cloud technology stack, including but not limited to:
o Microsoft 365 licenses
o Microsoft Server and Data Centre licenses
o Microsoft Applications
o Acronis Cloud Solutions
* Building direct relationships with VCG’s Microsoft customers, including:
o Fulfilling their queries on what product(s) are right for their requirements.
o Attending customer scoping calls, engaging the correct pre‑sales resources where necessary.
o Attending Quarterly Microsoft Business reviews with Account Managers.
* Working with marketing to assist with Microsoft and Cloud technology events and production of marketing materials.
* Providing support to the VCG Sales team on the VCG Cloud portfolio and Cloud managed services. This includes but is not limited to:
o Conducting customer scoping calls to gather requirements and propose the best Microsoft or Cloud solution or product.
o Creating Microsoft Business proposals and quotes in Pandadocs for VCG customers.
o Giving advice to Sales staff to ensure the best outcome for VCG customers.
* Providing support to the VCG’s Microsoft and Cloud managed service customers.
* Working closely with Microsoft and our Microsoft partners to drive further business and rebate for VCG.
* Maintaining and improving licensing knowledge through certification, both on a personal and company level.
* Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes.
* Attendance to customer sites or VCG offices to conduct work or attend meetings where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on sales performance.
Requirements
* Experience in a successful customer facing role (this could be Sales, Retail, hospitality.)
* College level qualification in IT, such as but not limited to:
o A-Level Computer Science, A-Level Information Technology
o T-Level Digital/IT
o BTEC level Nationals level 3 Computing or IT
* Good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and a good degree of computer literacy.
* Ability to learn new skills quickly.
* Ability to work using own initiative.
* Great at communicating with customers in a confident manner.
* Knowledge of Cloud Technologies.
* Awareness of the Microsoft products on offer, such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics etc.
* University Degree in a computing subject.
* Experience in working in an MSP environment.
* Experience of requirements gathering and interpreting a customer requirement to a Microsoft solution.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at a variety of levels and work closely with technical departments such as pre‑sales, operations, and the project management office.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Self‑starter with a results‑driven mindset and a passion for technology.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
