Graduate Process Engineer
We are looking for a graduate chemical/mechanical/process engineer to join our team in supporting our production and project activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to develop hands-on experience in process improvement and project management within a waste management/manufacturing environment.
As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting continuous improvement, analysing process data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
Impact Recycling has a track record of rapidly moving graduate engineers into positions of responsibility as they develop.
Responsibilities
· Participate in the analysis, development and optimisation of production processes
· Work on improvement projects from concept through to implementation, including working hands-on to complete equipment installations.
· Monitor process performance and provide consultation to the Operations Manager and production teams on potential efficiency gains
· Develop and maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and reports.
· Learn to operate all machinery within the factory to allow more coherent communication and feedback from the production and maintenance teams.
Requirements
· Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering (2:1 or above preferred but not essential)
· A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
· Self-motivated and willing to take on responsibility as your skills develop
· A willingness to carry out manual work when projects require
Desirable
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing or six sigma principles
