Hours of Work: Hours to meet the needs of the business but based on a 40 hour week. You will be expected to organise their own week around client and operational requirements.
Role Description:
Our client, a leading organisation within the Facilities Management sector, is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to oversee cleaning contracts across a multi-site portfolio. This is a key role focused on ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning services, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting continued business growth in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the Portfolio Director, you will take responsibility for several cleaning contracts and sites, managing a team of Area and Building Managers. You will ensure the consistent delivery of high cleaning service standards, operational efficiency, and financial performance across your portfolio, maintaining excellent levels of presentation, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the mobilisation of new contracts
* Manage and support Area and Building Managers
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, leading regular review meetings
* Monitor service delivery against KPIs and SLAs
* Oversee recruitment and development of teams
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all sites
* Manage budgets, including wage and contract cost control
* Oversee subcontractors and suppliers
* Produce regular operational and financial reports
* Support contract reviews, pricing, and business growth initiatives
* Assist with presentations for new business and renewals
About You:
* Proven experience within the cleaning industry (essential)
* Strong background managing multiple contracts and teams
* Commercially aware with solid financial understanding
* Confident managing client relationships, including challenging situations
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a senior management team
* IT proficient (Google Workspace knowledge beneficial)
* Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs.
