Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a 4‑5 session salaried GP (ARRS) to join our dynamic forward‑thinking team at Godolphin Health, a two‑site practice (Praze an Beeble and Connor Downs) conveniently situated within a 10‑min drive off the A30 and close to the beautiful Cornish coastline. We are a training practice with a list of 9,032 patients over two sites, dispensing to 65% of them. The three partners are supported by a growing multidisciplinary team comprising four salaried GPs, one advanced nurse practitioner, two practice nurses, two HCAs and a phlebotomist. We also have GP trainees and share a Primary Care Network with three mental health practitioners, a first‑contact physiotherapist, a care‑home paramedic and a shared pharmacist and three pharmacy technicians. Through our Primary Care Network, we share services and knowledge across the practice.
Key Duties
* Triage all appointment requests using Klinik.
* Attend 12 x 15‑minute consultations during morning and afternoon surgeries and an equal share of duty sessions.
* Provide protected time for pathology results processing.
* Rarely conduct home visits, shared among the clinical team to support frail house‑bound patients.
* Provide enhanced access to General Practice services on a shared rota.
* Participate in a weekly MDT with the entire clinical team for patient care and personal learning.
* Attend a quarterly half‑day clinical governance/educational meeting for all staff.
* Maintain commitment to CQC standards (rated ‘Good’ in February 2022).
* Adhere to the North Kerrier West Primary Care Network’s proactive and flourishing practices.

Job Description
This document is a framework for the role. The post holder should have autonomy to develop the role in line with the practice’s strategic direction.
The post-holder will manage a proportionate caseload. Core responsibilities include:
* Making professional autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems.
* Acting as the usual GP for a proportionate share of patients.
* Ensuring timely review of all workflow within the practice (documents, pathology, medicines, emails, tasks).
* Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated problems.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* In consultation with patients, developing and implementing care plans.
* Providing counselling and health education.
* Admitting or discharging patients and referring to other providers as appropriate.
* Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collecting data for audit purposes.
* Compiling and issuing computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Prescribing within the practice formulary (or generically when clinically appropriate).
* Providing patients with details or copies of medical records, and supplying reports to third parties as required.
* Performing all normal duties and responsibilities of a GP in primary care.
The post‑holder will also undertake duties outside core GMS hours as required, including:
* Attendance at clinic clinical meetings and MDTs.
* Complying with practice policies (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, safeguarding).
* Commitment to life‑long learning and audit for evidence‑based best practice.
* Contribution to evaluation, audit and clinical standard setting.
* Maintaining data quality within computer‑based patient records.
* Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies as appropriate.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* On Medical Performers List.
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (where appropriate).
* General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
* Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
* UK driving licence.
* UK work permit (if required).
* Current level 3 safeguarding certificate (adult and children).
Qualifications (Desirable)
